To commemorate the 200th Anniversary of Charles Darwin 1809-1882. Darwin was immortalised for his far seeing research into evolution and the idea of natural selection. This accounted for the way in which evolution takes place amongst plants and animals which adapt to environmental changes to survive. His famous book 'The Origin of Species' was first published in 1859. His new theory annoyed many people, for most believed in the Biblical story of 'The Creation'. Now in his 200th Anniversary Year we pay tribute to Darwin's genius with a special collection.
