The Aynsley Royal Wedding Collection

aynsley royal weddingaynsley royal wedding
Monday February 7th
This Sunday at 9.00 am sharp, the doors opened on Spring Fair International, Europe's biggest trade show for the gift industry.  I elbowed my way through the heaving mass of retailers and buyers and my way straight the Aynsley China exhibition.  My mission was to see for the very first time, the Aynsley China Royal Wedding Collection.  I wasn't disappointed.
The Aynsley Royal Engagement range was sensational in its own right, but this Aynsley Royal Wedding collection is something else!  In fact, it consists of two collections in one.  There are three pieces depicting the Royal Couple and Westminster Abbey, the venue for the Royal Wedding.  then there is the Royal Crest Collection, which shows both the Royal Coat of Arms and the family tree.  Starting at £9.95, this is a range of Royal memorabilia not be missed.

We Support The British China Industry

Monday January 24th

royal wedding memorabiliaThere's been quite a bit in the media over the last day or two regarding Royal Wedding Commemoratives manufactured in china.  On BBC Breakfast only this morning, a Chinese factory was featured.  They showed bucketloads of pottery plates being mass produced and churned out for distribution around the world.  It wasn't a pretty sight and the pottery looked, in our humble opinion, pretty horrible.

We can't gurantee that you'll like the Royal Weddig China that we show on our site, but we can guarantee that it's made in England.  In fact, all of our china brands are made in Stoke-on-Trent at the

                    SOLD OUT                                           STILL AVAILABLE

Well, I suppose 'calamity' might be slightly too strong a word, but it's a shame nonetheless.  The gorgeous Halcyon Days Limited Edition Royal Engagement Box has sold out.  The are only 250 in the edition and it's proved so popular that today, with over 100 days to go till the day of the Royal Wedding, this piece is now fully subscribed.  But, all is not lost.  This particular cloud does indeed have a silver lining.  Firstly, the Halcyon days open edition Engagement Heart Box is still available and, even better news, there are 3 Halcyon Days Enamels due to be launched to celebrate the Royal Wedding itself.  Inevitably, at least one will be a Limited Edition, so make sure you sign up for our Newsletter so as not to miss out.

No Servants For William and Kate

Friday December 30th

royal wedding gifts royal footmenHis parents have an entourage of over 150 servants and helpers to cater for their every need and for every eventuality, but Prince William has insisted that he and Kate Middleton will be eschewing such luxuries as they begin married life in April 2011.

The future king and queen will be doing all they can to live 'normal lives' whilst living in their remote cottage in North Wales.  They have bodyguards on 24-hour duty to protect them but they've made it clear that they intend to carry on in just the same way, when they return as a married couple.  This state of affairs will persist at least until the Prince finishes his tour of duty as an RAF search and rescue pilot in 2013.

"It's very much their instinct to manage on their own," a senior royal aide said. "They want to do their duty and make sure they are a real asset to the country, but they are private individuals who want to get on with their lives.

"Prince William is not into extravagance and, like any other young officer in the Armed Forces, that is how he chooses to live his life. He and Catherine live without domestic staff and they wouldn't do it any other way. That's the life they want to lead.

"The prince is committed to his career at RAF Valley until 2013, and he wants his wife by his side during that time."

Unusual Royal Wedding Gifts from the Past (2)

New Year's day and what a fascinating way to start the year.  We've been able to locate a set of silver plated spoons introduced as a Royal Wedding Commemorative for the marriage of Prince Charles and Lady Diana Spencer.
They would have made the perfect Royal Wedding Gift back in 1981.  Each spoon is topped with a different Royal emblem -  the Welsh Crown, the famous Fleur de Lys of the Prince of Wales, a pair of silver wedding bells, St. Paul's cathedral where Prince Charles and Lady Diana Spencer were married.  Finally, there is the monarch on the throne.  What about the mysterious missing sixth spoon? Sadly, its emblem is missing.  if anyone has the same set, please email and let us know about the missing symbol.  You never know - there might be a reward!
